"As we are a rural community, we greatly value collaborations such as the one between GPRRC and the Town of Beaverlodge. This partnership allows for us to stay current on industry standards, gives us an understanding of the need for Recreation from a regional perspective, and provides opportunities to attend meetings and network with like-minded professionals.
Partnering with GPRRC has enhanced our ability to provide accurate and up to date information to not only our own community, but to all residents of neighboring municipalities. We are able to invite the public to our facilities which allows for them to participate in our recreational opportunities. Over the past while we have experienced increased gym and pool memberships, fitness class sign-ups and added enrollment in some of our children’s programs. The benefit of this participation is for the greater good of our residents and meets our goals of active living in our community!
Not only does our collaboration benefit each municipality individually in a variety of ways such as information sharing, networking, marketing and partnerships, the relationship between the 6 municipalities truly benefits recreation as a whole in our region.
We look forward to continued affiliation and networking between both the GPRSC and GPRRC."
